ALPHA Centre (ALPHA) was established in Niksic 2006 with the aim of supporting democratic changes in Montenegro. Main goals of ALPHA Centre are: Fostering euro atlantic integrations of Montenegro and active participation of citizens in developing public politics; promoting and advocating the stance that all citizens are entitled to peaceful, safe and dignified life, regardless of their sex, age, nation, or political affiliation, educational background, sexual orientation, profession or other dispositions; researching and analyzing civil-military relationships, fostering democratic control of armed forces.
For more than 10 years ALPHA Centre has realized more than 550 projects including vast number of events in the area of EU integration, human rights, media freedom, civil society, regional cooperation and NATO. These activities gathered over 20.000 participants, mostly youth. ALPHA Centre team consists from 4 coordinators in following fields: Youth, Democracy, Local Community and Traffic Safety.
GONG is an independent, non-profit CSO devoted to enhancing human and civil rights. Established in Croatia in 1997 as a grass-roots citizen election monitoring initiative, GONG has become a respected partner in issues of government accountability, transparency, EU integration anticorruption, civil participation, civic education and protection of human and civil rights.
GONG bases its work on research, policy advocacy and education activities, targeting CSOs and citizens, policy-makers, administrators, teachers and academia. GONG’s employees work in two programmes: Democratic political processes and institutions, and Democratic political culture, activism and media.
GONG is part of a number of coalitions active in the area of democratization, good governance, democratic culture or media, nationally and internationally, including the European Civic Forum and the GOOD initiative for the introduction of systematic education for human rights and democratic citizenship in schools in Croatia.
The Romanian Academic Society
The Romanian Academic Society (RAS) is the longest-standing think tank in Romania. Established in 1996 as an academic association of reputable figures, throughout the years it has operated as a public policy research institute, a leading force in the promotion of good governance, a consultant of the Romanian Government and of other governments, a long-haul partner during the transition and state reform processes for the UN, the EU pre- and post-accession. Through publications, opinion campaigns and work, RAS promotes public sector reform by encouraging transparency, the introduction of performance standards and government accountability mechanisms at national and regional level.
From its beginnings RAS had been supporting independent dialogue and participation process among citizens for exchanging their opinions, sharing visions for the future of Europe and make recommendations to political decision makers.
the Polish Robert Schuman Foundation
The Polish Robert Schuman Foundation is a non-governmental and non-political organization. The Foundation’s main aims are to encourage Polish citizens to actively participate, promote opportunities created by the Polish membership in the Community, foster the values of the European Union and to strengthen civil society in Poland. PFRS implements educational and civic programs, focusing on the following issues: European integration, active (EU) citizenship, societal engagement of citizens and promotion of democratic and civic values.
The Foundation cooperates with a wide range of institutions within and outside the EU concentrating on promoting political and social initiatives focusing on the development of democracy. In this process, it supports cultural, scientific and educational organizations that actively contribute to the development of closer bonds between Poland, EU institutions and other EU Member States as well as the infrastructure of NGOs active in similar fields of work.
European Movement in Serbia
The European Movement in Serbia (EMinS) is an independent and voluntarily organization of the citizens of Serbia. It was founded in 1992 as a non-governmental, non-party and not-profit organization. It is an independent institution of the democratic public and a citizens’ organization that advocates for peaceful, democratic and full European integration and a democratic and modern Serbia as part of Europe.
EMinS is member of the European Movement International and founder of numerous initiatives: National Convention on the EU, regional WB6 Advocacy Group and Coalition for Social Entrepreneurship Development.
It has 819 individual members and 12 collective members and a network of 14 local councils who devote their energy to Serbia’s accession to the European family of peoples.
EMinS is the leader in terms of its project management and technical capacities, research and development expertise. The organization is also an implementing partner with a great reputation in development programs.
Youth Entrepreneurship Promotion Association – YEPA`s main aim is to promote young people entrepreneurship education, successful integration into the labor market and adaptation to business needs. Organization has more than 3 year-experience in implementing different projects. This experience is based on a wide range of EU projects on national level (including international level as well). Previous experience has been developed through EU structural funding programmes. The themes of the projects implemented by YEPA were connected with different fields such as: training for entrepreneurs, trainers and other target groups; volunteering promotion and others.
YEPA supports the development of entrepreneurship initiatives between young people; supports social initiatives of young people, implements projects in the sphere of entrepreneurship, culture, education; provides training programs for representatives of civil society and entrepreneurs.
